1 Corinthians 16:13-14 ... Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you
like men, be strong. 14 Let all your things be done with charity.
Exhortation: Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
We stand fast in the faith by deliberate will ... We grab a scripture and refuse to let go ... Sometimes that is all we can do.
And our faith must be in God ... not in ourselves.
Jesus gave this example: Mt 7 ... Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Doing the will of God in the matter at hand is all that matters. We hear from God by HIS Spirit and we do what HE instructs step by step. And we rest in HIM, in HIS works. HE bought salvation with what HE did, with HIS blood.
These people Jesus spoke of in Mt. 7:22 came speaking of their own works ... of the good they did.
We focus on what HE did.
Did God raise Jesus from the dead? If we believe God raised Jesus from the dead we have the grounds to believe God will raise others from the dead. And if we belong to God and believe in HIM will we be raised from the dead? What does the Bible say about this? We focus on what the Bible says and we choose to believe that.
Jonah 2:8 ... They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.
Antichirst is opposite to God. When the wrong spirit speaks to our mind, we should be able to recognize the way is twisted and opposite to Bible. In such cases, we grab scripture that we know and refuse to let go.
