Holy Spirit is the "earnest" of our inheritance

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Eph. 1 ... That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

After we believe the word given us by God, HE gives us the Holy Spirit ... God seals us with the Holy Spirit.

Many church people do not understand the Holy Spirit.

Here are 4 things God showed me that the Holy Spirit does in the believer.

Jn. 14:26 ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jn. 16:13 ... Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

God sealing us with the Holy Spirit is a type of "earnest" ... showing that we belong to HIM.

When the Holy Spirit is in us we can know we belong to God.

If you were to make arrangements to purchase real estate, you might have to pay "earnest" money to prove you were really serious about the real estate.

The Holy Spirit is "earnest" from God showing us that we have part to share in the inheritance laid up by God for the people of God.

If we have the Holy Spirit in us, we are led by the Holy Spirit.  Romans 8

There is the Holy Spirit of God and there are other spirits of devils and of course there is the flesh which would pull us opposite from the way of God.

Jesus said, if we are HIS, we will recognize HIS voice.  Granted the devil imitates the voice of God but there is always just something a little off.  We should be able to recognize when the voice is not of the Spirit of God whether it comes from the mouth of another person or whether it comes as a thought directly to our minds.

Jn. 10 ... Jesus says ... Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
