1 Timothy 6:17 ... Charge them that are rich in this
world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but
in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
Exhortation: Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Will that money you store up really save you to the end of your life on this earth? Will that tight first around that money do it?
Certainly money accumulates without our even trying to get it. But to try not to spend any of it would cause you much grief and could even take you in the wrong way.
Our salvation must be in God and not in what we can do. For we cannot be safe by our thinking.
If finances change and we have more money or if finances change and we have less money, the key is always God ...
And when we focus on the instruction to be content having food and raiment ... and we have food and raiment ... many fears should vanish.
Live within your means. Resist the temptation to spend money you do not have even when it is for a "good" cause. To be in debt to do something is not the way of God for us. When we have to go into debt, we need to reexamine the way we are going. If God wants us to do something the money and the way will be there to do the work. If the money is not there we need to stop and turn to God and wait. We do not live the way of this world. The way of this world is not peace. Neither are we tight fisted, thinking we might need that money, thus living in fear. Turn instead to God and pray over your plan and allow HIM to settle your way. If you belong to God, HE will lead you.
