Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Romans 8:28 ... And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

Everything that happens to those of us who are called by God happens to conform us one step closer to the image of Christ (THE WORD).

Our focus is not of this present world and what we can get and what we can accumulate here, although God does give us many wonderful things here.  Yet these things are not our treasure.

Col. 3 ... If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness ( defrauding another: I Thess. 4:6-7), inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.  14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;

Examine yourself by the above scriptures.  As we examine ourselves this way, we eat and drink Jesus (The Word) ... We make changes according to the word spoken by the Spirit by which we examine ourselves.

Lately the word "charity" has been called to my attention in some house repairs.

The painter, selected a paint which was slight off color although I had given him the exact paint number for the outside of the house.  A vandal threw eggs at the house and damaged one side of the house.  I was having it repainted.  So the paint needed to match the remainder of the house.  The painter failed to use the brand of paint and the color on the house and at one point from the street it is noticeably different colors.  But I just let it go.  (Charity)  I will not use this painter in future.

Recently I hired a man to reprogram my universal remote control.  I have hired this same man many times for jobs in past.  But the last two times he has worked for me his work has been unsatisfactory.  I said nothing about this.  (Charity)  There is some kind of problem going on with him now.  That is obvious to me.  I just suffered the loss.  God will repay.  Later I learned what caused the program failure.  He failed to do step one in programming.

The things of this earth are not worth fighting over ... and money is certainly not worth strife.  And sometimes we do end up suffering loss, but I always think God repays us so not allowing loss to grieve us seems right to me.  Just commit the loss to God in prayer and allow HIM to settle you.  If you find you are telling others about the loss (without having a teaching example) then you are not healed from the loss but really talking to God about it should bring healing.  Then you won't be telling others if you have really settled it with God.
