Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Psalm 1:1-3 ... Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord (the Word); and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Exhortation:  (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)

So many churches today are led to believe we have no law in New Testament.  Certainly Jesus came not to destroy the law of the OT but rather to fulfill the law.

Mt. 5 ... Jesus said ... Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Paul explained that faith has replaced the OT law of circumcision ... Book of Galatians

But Paul presented many "laws of God" to the New Testament church.  These are to be observed.

Concerning a "brother" (a Christian) who commits sins of fornication,  covetousness, extortion, idolatry, drunkenness, railing ... Paul said to put such a person out of the church ... do not eat with such in the congregation ... Paul calls that person "wicked" ... Wicked means: One who causes trouble, harm, difficulty... Paul explains such a "brother" as this will be like a leaven eating through the congregation.  Paul says to turn him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh so his sprit may be saved in the day of the Lord.  I Cor. 5:5

Churches instead want to pray for him and counsel him.

Paul said to put him out of the congregation.

I Cor. 5 ... 9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. 12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?  13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

This is a NT "law" for the church.

Another NT "law" concerns divorce and remarriage.  Paul says:  I Cor. 7 ... And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

So many churches today are taught that the wife can remarry when her husband is unfaithful to her.

But this is not what Jesus explained.  Jesus said if the wife remarries she will commit adultery and her husband will be the cause of her adultery and the man who marries this divorced woman will commit adultery.

Mt. 5:32 ... (Jesus says) But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Paul explains:  I Cor. 7:39 ... The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

This is instruction for the NT church from both Jesus and Paul.

The apostle John tells us there is a "sin unto death" and we are not to pray for that person who is committing "a sin unto death".  I Jn. 5

There is an OT Sabbath and there is a NT Sabbath.  They are not the same.  If you are going to observe the OT Sabbath you would not be permitted to "leave your tent" on "the Sabbath" ... You were not permitted to gather manna on the "Sabbath".  You had to prepare food the day before.  Certainly you would not be able to shop or watch football or watch TV and such personal pleasures.  So do you really want to observe the law of the OT Sabbath?

So what is the NT Sabbath.
