Hebrews 3:1-6 ... Scripture: Shared by body of Christ

Hebrews 3:1-6 ... Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; 2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. 3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 4 For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Exhortation:  Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

We are "faithful" to God to do that appointed to us by God.

If you are husband, you are certainly to support your wife and family.

If you are wife, you are to faithfully "serve" your husband and children, in ways of God.

If you are appointed to church office ... apostle/prophet/evangelist/pastor/teacher (Eph. 4) ... you faithfully do that.

And we have to "hold fast" the confidence and the hope in God.  This we do through turning to God and paying attention to Holy Spirit that shows us the way of God.

Sometimes we are in valley where things seem hard to us.  But when I turn to God in these times, I'm always uplifted and encouraged in the way of God by the Holy Spirit which reminds me of various things of God.

Being faithful to God and holding fast is made possible for us as we turn to God.

I Cor. 10:13 ... There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Heb. 10 ... Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
