Submit yourselves to God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

James 4 ... God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. 9Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. 10Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

When we turn to God with a problem, and pour out our heart before God as we would do with a mate or a best friend, we not only show that we trust in God but we also humble ourselves.

Often when we do that, we will be reminded of a scripture.  This is the Holy Spirit giving us that which we need in the situation.  And that scripture is the thing we need for the faith needed in the problem.  When we believe what we hear from God and think upon that, we resist the thoughts contrary to that scripture which are sent by the devil and we have the promise that when we do this the devil will flee from us.

When we pray about the problem, God may choose to bring a dream to our mind instead of a scripture.  If so the dream is the weapon for our warfare.  So we focus on that dream.  Again, as we believe that dream, the devil flees from us.  As we think on that dream repeatedly, we become established in the faith by believing what God has said in the matter at hand.

Or God may choose to call to mind a previous experience.  Again we think on that experience and this gives us the key needed for the spiritual warfare.
