Division because of Jesus

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jn. 7 ... 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
40Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. 41Others said, This is the Christ.
But some said,  Shall Christ come out of Galilee? 42Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
43So there was a division among the people because of him.

In this we see the Word separating the believers from the unbelievers.

The unbelievers, through their own wisdom, explain away the Word.

Christ was to come from the seed of David and out of the town of Bethlehem.  They saw Jesus come out of Galilee so HE couldn't the prophesied Messiah was their reasoning.

Those persons not of God find ways to get it wrong.

But when the Word comes it divides.  It divides households.  One believes and as result is changed from the others in the household who are not of God.

When the Word comes HE divides.

Lk. 12 ... 51Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Mt. 10 ... 36And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. 37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. 40He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. 41He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. 42And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Sitting among the rulers of the Pharisees at that time was Nicodemus who had come to Jesus by night and believed on Jesus but he was sitting among the Pharisees.

Jn. 7 ... 45Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have ye not brought him? 46The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
47Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? 48Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? 49But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
50Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,)  51Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?
52They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.
53And every man went unto his own house.

Jesus was from Galilee ... but HE was born in Bethlehem and was of the house of David.   The rulers wanted to condemn Jesus and looked for ways to condemn Jesus because of envy.  All of a sudden, the people were talking of Jesus.  The rulers were blinded and blinded themselves because of their envy.  They didn't want to know the truth about Jesus.  The truth would have separated them from high places.
