II Tim. 1:7 ... For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Before we were born again, we had no power and often we did crazy things.
But after God revealed Himself to us and gave us His Spirit, we then had a power not granted to the world.
And we have promises from God:
I Cor. 10 ... There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 14Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
Devils still harass us with destructive thoughts but now we have a power greater than the power of devils.
I Jn. 4:4 ... Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
In the midst of the attack, we call on God for help. As a little child runs to his parent, we run to God in prayer. We remember the wonderful things God has done for us in the past. We think on the wonderful things God did for His chosen in the Bible examples. All this helps with faith in God.
