Romans 8:28
... And we know that all things work together for good to them that love
God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
Everything is done to the purpose of God. And the purpose of God is very often different from the purpose we intend and desire with our flesh and our ideas. Therefore often we fail to see that good came from a situation where we didn't get what we wanted, for it doesn't look like good to our flesh and to our mind. But by faith in the Word of God we come to know that no matter what happens all things work together for God when we are the called of God, when we belong to God.
But God says ...
Isaiah 55 ... For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
When we belong to God, we are called according to the purpose of God. And we learn to trust the scriptures by faith in God. We trust Romans 8:28 because of faith in God. And we know that which happened worked for good regardless of how it may have seemed at the time. We know this because of faith in God and our love for the Word of God which is Jesus Christ.
