Devils cast out by the word

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Mt. 8:16 ... When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word,

We continually control devils with the word given by God on the matter at hand.  Paul explained:

II Cor. 10 ... For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

This is one of the things God taught me when I first became a Christian in 1975.  Paul says we must bring into captivity every thought and make it obedient to Christ ... obedient to the Word ... obedient to truth.

Lying vanities come in the form of thoughts and are often brought to us by our own desires, by books and TV, by other humans.  Sometimes we open the door for the devil to come in by that which we do ... by the books we read ... by TV ... by our associations ... and especially by our personal desire for things and people on this earth.  (The attack often comes through areas where we want something.)

All these areas must be dealt with.  It is greatly helpful when we can learn this world is only temporary and when we stop trying to achieve personal things on this present earth for ourselves and we learn to be content daily with our food and raiment not wanting more.  This closes the door on many destructive thoughts.

But regardless, we have to deal in a spiritual way with each destructive thought.

The first thing is to recognize the thought when it comes.  Sometimes these thoughts are pretty quick and subtil.  When we recognize the troubling thought, we then pray, committing that thought to God.  If God chooses to give us a scripture it is like an antidote to the poison of the destructive thought.  And when we have faith in that which God gives us, it can in time put that destructive thought to death.

But it is a battle.  And as long as we live on this earth we will have to fight destructive thoughts in a spiritual way.

But always we overcome by the word given us by God.
