How far is the heaven above the earth?
The heaven is endless in distance. Therefore this is showing us that the mercy of God is unmeasurable. And the mercy is "toward them that fear HIM".
Those who "fear God" are those who know they must at all times do what God says because that is the only thing that really works. Everything else is foolish and unsafe.
Psalm 111:10 ... The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.
