Luke 14:33-35 ... So likewise, whosoever he be of you that
forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. 34 Salt is
good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be
seasoned? 35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill;
but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
Forsaking all that we have requires a type of faith in God that causes us to trust in HIS provision above trusting in our own selves. It is not foolhardiness but rather we who have the Spirit of God are persuaded by God to do something or to speak something. We realize if we do that it might cause us to suffer loss. We have a decision to make. If we are fully persuaded it is God wanting us to do or say something we are like Abraham, fully persuaded God can raise us even from the dead. Man can kill our body but not our soul. Only God can destroy a soul. But we must be fully persuaded it is God wanting us to do this. Like Jesus, we do not rush to the cross. Jesus prayed three times that "this cup" be removed from Him. Nevertheless not my will but Thy will be done.
