Today we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us to show us the way of God. The Holy Spirit searches the heart of God and reveals to us God's will in the specific matters that we face today on this present earth. When we hear from the Spirit of God we then know the will of God.
I Cor. 2 ... Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Jn. 14:26 & Jn. 16:13 ... Concerning the Holy Spirit working to show us the will of God, Jesus said ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you... Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Four things done by Holy Spirit:
- teaches us all things
- reminds us of that which Jesus has said
- guides us into all truth
- shows us things to come
God also might choose to reveal the truth and His will through a dream. There have been several times in my life where God has shown me specific individuals in form of a dream and in those dreams God has shown me what those people are doing at that time.
Sometimes God will have an angel of the Lord speak to us. This happened to me in approximately 1980. I was asleep and a voice like a trumpet spoke three very loud words to me: "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS" I jumped out of bed. The voice was very loud. I wrote these words down. I found KWJS to be radio station. Within one week, I was broadcasting on radio KWJS.
