1 Peter 5:6-7 ... Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of
God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon
him; for he careth for you.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
Turning to God in prayer is humbling. To do this you are "confessing" that you are unable of yourself to take care of the problem. In many cases, people are just too self confident and proud to do this, thinking they can take care of it themselves. And sometimes even Christians fail to even think of God when there is a problem, just jumping in and trying to fix it themselves.
Jesus said ... Jn. 5:30 ... I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
This is the Son of God saying he can of his own self do nothing.
But Jesus was always in communication with God and heard from God in the matter at hand. And as HE heard from God, HE judged by that word.
We are supposed to do the same thing. We take the matter to God in prayer. We wait on HIM. And we do that which we are told by the Spirit of God.
