Proverbs 19:21 ... There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
Humans plan many things but only those things authored by God will work through all eternity.
James 4 ... Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
And religious people often plan many works which they thinks are good and often these are simply works out of their own minds and in the end will account for nothing but their own condemnation.
Jesus said ... Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Before we do a work, we must be sure God has authored that work. It can seem a good work and we could still be turned away in the day of judgment. Only those works authored by God are good. And we do not all do the same things. Paul talked about this in I Cor. 12 ... God sets us in the body as HE wills. The eye does not operate as the foot in a body. The hand has a different function from the eye. We have to know our assignment from God and work there not wandering off to another person's work.
I am horror stricken by ministers who send me emails giving a long list of planned works. I know this is not the way God works with us. This is the way humans plan, by making long lists of the things they want to accomplish.
So beware of all those plans ... to boast about what you plan to do in future is evil according to the Bible.
And Jesus told us to take no thought of tomorrow ... Mt. 6 ... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
