God's name alone is excellent

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Almost from birth, most children try to outdo others and to draw attention to themselves.  A major goal for humans is to outdo other people.  This is the nature of man, the nature of the flesh.  It is opposite to the way of God.

By the Spirit of God, the apostle Paul taught us the following:

Phil. 2 ...  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Bit by bit after God reveals HIMSELF to us as HIS chosen, we are reconstructed in the image of Christ.  We don't learn these things all at once but as we continue with God, doing the Word of God as HE reveals it to us, we change a little at a time.

Several months ago, I deliberately set aside from my life anything that would cause me to achieve and bring personal recognition to myself.  I purposed to make myself of no reputation.  For approximately 8 months I consciously focused on the above scripture which tells us to let this mind of Christ be in us where we make ourselves of no reputation.  This is the way of God.

Col. 3 ... For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Psa. 148 ... Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
