Hebrews 11:6 ... But without faith it is impossible to please him:for he
that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.
Exhortation: (Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet)
Jesus said ... Jn. 4 ... God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
We do not connect with God by falling down in front of a man made cross. Nor do we connect with God by lighting a candle. Nor do we look at a photo of an actor and call it Jesus (there were no photographs in Jesus' day) ... If you do any of these things trying to pray or connect with God your action is futile for you are trying to connect with your flesh and flesh cannot connect with spirit. Spirit connects with Spirit.
So we who are really of God do not use fleshly objects to try to connect with God.
When we were chosen by God as His own, God gave us HIS Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus Christ. We connect with God by HIS Sprit.
Therefore, when we pray, we do not have to be in a church building nor upon a mountain nor at an inspiring place. As this is flesh and not spirit.
Jn. 4 ... he woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
When we pray, we simply understand that we are speaking to God and God is a Spirit. By faith we connect to God this way. We believe God hears us when we speak to Him.
