Great dangers today for children are drugs, sex, and Internet.
Concerning drugs ... they begin very early today. If possible, even as early as elementary school drug teaching should begin, showing the child the danger and also letting the child see many photos of people who are physically affected by drugs. (loss of teeth ... sores on face)
Concerning sex ... the child must be taught that at the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh. Therefore to have sex is going to make a type of "lasting" bond which is not going to be broken by the will of man. There is no such thing as "casual" sex.
Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. 15Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Concerning Internet ... there are many deceptive people putting out evil traps on Internet. I've even had people send pornographic material to our Internet email address. You would not expect this to happen on a Christian ministry email address. But there are many evil people out there and there are people who hate God and hate ministries and attack when possible. Also we have had people try to extort money. I am very concerned about young children using Internet without supervision.
Children are very much at risk. They must be taught about these matters. Do not wait to teach your children.
Parents may think their child would never do that. If you think that, you might fail to teach the child. That would be very foolish of you. Teach the child. The child will come in contact with much evil in the world and at school. You cannot afford to ignore this.
Train up a child in the way he should go. Prov. 22:6
Further warning: The child needs to learn that even among church groups there are often those who will try to get you to have sex outside of marriage. I've had more propositions from men in Bible classes than I have from men in the world. There was even a deacon in a Baptist church who tried to get me to have sex with him. I got my Bible and read I Cor. 6 to him and he left me alone. But there are some younger women who could be deceived by evil men in church groups. Warn the younger women about this.
