The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psa. 23:1
A shepherd cares for the sheep. The sheep eat and drink and when the shepherd sees the food drying up, the shepherd moves the sheep to new pasture. The shepherd drives away wolves and other things that hurt the sheep.
When we belong to God, we are given His Spirit. By HIS Spirit we hear from God. So God guides us (His sheep) by HIS Spirit.
God knows how to reach us in a way that we can understand.
So we, who belong to God, hear HIM when HE speaks. We just rest in HIM, knowing HE sees all things and will provide for us as long as HE leaves us on this earth.
