Separating from sin

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

And in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel reigned Asa over Judah. 10And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.  11And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. 12And he took away the sodomites (homosexuals & those who have sex with animals) out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made. 13And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron.  I Kings 15

Asa removed sin from around him, even the sin of his own mother.

I don't know how we who belong to God can co-exist with sin.  How does light get along with darkness.  When the light comes on the darkness disappears.  How can we who are of God fail to turn on light?

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said,  I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.  II Cor. 6

It may seem difficult to separate from people or things where we a deeply involved but when we find ourselves beginning to sin sometimes it pushes us out.

And we may feel like part of us is missing when we are pushed out or when we depart.  It may seem hard.  But is it harder than remaining in the sin?
