No want, no lack

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

We have so many scriptures telling us that if we belong to God and follow HIM there will be no want, no lack.

If we belong to God, we are given the Spirit of God to live in us and guide us.  And when we follow God's Spirit we make adjustments in all that we do on this present earth as we live here.  As we make these changes and choices based on the leading of the Spirit of God in us, we come into a different life.

First, we learn to be content instead of striving for more.

I Tim. 6

Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.  11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

So instead of trying to get things of this world and get ahead in this world, we go another direction.  We set our goal to learn the will of God in the issue at hand and then to do the will of God.

We learn to think of today instead of tomorrow.

Jesus said ... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.  Mt. 6

Instead of making all those plans about what we are going to do tomorrow and making that list of the things we are going to do, we live another way on this earth.  Our way is to seek God's will in the matters at hand and after we feel we know the will of God, we do that.

This is completely different from the way most people approach life.

When we approach things this way we are no longer thinking of things we want to get for ourselves or achievements we want to accomplish.  Now we think of that which God wants.  And we try to do HIS will.  And as we go along, things are added to us without our trying to get those things.  We end up having no lack, no want just as the scriptures tell us.
