Battles: Continuing in the faith

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  22In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;  Col. 1

There will be battles.  We will have to "continue" to hold fast to the faith in God.  We will, from time to time, have to work not to be moved away from the hope of the gospel.

And while some might doubt this could happen to us, we remember that which Jesus said about the last days.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Mt. 24

It will get difficult and we will have to work to hold faith.

Some of the things that I find helpful in the difficult times are to think on what God has done... to think of examples of the power of God written in the Bible ... to consider the heaven and the earth which are created by God ... to think of the specific things God has done in my life.  So much of faith is thinking on that which God has done rather than that which we have done.  Some look at their ministers for faith.  Some look at the people in their church groups and try to hold on by clinging to them.  None of this will work.  The only thing powerful for us to keep us in times of stress will be God, thinking on that which HE has done.
