Psalm 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of
man, in whom there is no help. 4 His breath goeth forth, he
returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
While considering that a man's thoughts perish, I thought
of times I have been concerned or affected by what another person
thought or might think. Although at the time the opinions of others may
seem important and to have some kind of power, there is often no real
basis for their thoughts, they are not founded on truth from God. The thoughts sometimes change, and often are not remembered at all.
Real help comes from God. When we act according to what God has said to
us, we have something very solid to stand on. His word will never
change and His truth will never perish. Jesus told us the following ...
Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine,
and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house
upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the
winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was
