Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
II Cor. 5 ... 14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
So we see that all were dead because of sin and we were raised from the dead through the death and resurrection of Christ.
So HE died for us ... that we would live for HIM. (HE lives through us by HIS Spirit.)
Meaning, we live now through HIM, doing as shown us by HIS Spirit which has been given us. Therefore HE lives through us as we walk on this earth. We make Christ visible through us.
HE is our life. We are not like this world, hunting our life, trying to be all that we can be on this earth, fulfilling our various lusts.
Rather now we are dead with HIM, that is we keep our flesh crucified that we may do HIS will on this earth.
Col. 3 ... 1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
And we are separated from this world by HIM by The Word. For HIS Spirit gives us HIS word and as we believe that word and do it we are different from the people of this world, no longer participating with them in the things they love, for he has separated us from them by HIS Word.
Jn. 17 ... Jesus prays to God for us ... 14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Showing Jesus by HIS Spirit that lives in us today:
We do not show Jesus by the flesh as many in church groups do today. They work by formula made up in the minds of religious men.
But we show Jesus by HIS Spirit ... As we go about, we follow HIS Spirit. God is not always kind to everyone. There are some people who are unruly, wrapped up in the own selves, flaunting their own selves. As we follow the Spirit we might show another side of God to them.
Thus God explains:
Psalm 18:25-27 ... With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; 26 With the pure
thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself
froward. 27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring
down high looks.
So as we act by the Spirit of God we might even be harsh.
Often at sporting events there will be someone holding up a banner which says, Jn. 3:16 ... I really hate it when I see this. I know this type of thing set up in the hearts of fleshly men who want to "witness" for Jesus. But I know this is not a witness for Jesus. For the Holy Spirit in us witnesses according to the will of God and the message and the action vary according to the will of God. I know these banners are of the flesh of religious men and often they cause people to hate the Bible by their witness.
Going door to door as some do and inviting people to come to the church is another very fleshly act representing the ideas of fleshly men. When God dealt by the Spirit is was very different.
For example: (Here is a dealing by the Spirit) ... Acts 8 ... 26And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. 27And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, 28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. 29Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. 30And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 34And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 36And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. 40But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea
