Eph. 4:29-30 ... Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God,
Exhortation: Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Grace is a feeling of gratitude to God. When we, the church, communicate with the church certainly we should speak, when we speak, things which cause others in the church to have a feeling of gratitude to God.
Edifying means to build them up in the faith. To show God.
When we do choose to speak, it should be that which ministers grace to the hearers, that which somehow magnifies God.
We don't have to speak. But when we do speak, it should magnify God. Even when we speak of how awful man is it magnifies God for we are basically showing the futility of the flesh of man and how none is good but God. Our own flesh is terrible. We just keep it crucified and don't allow it to rule. When it does rule it is as awful as the flesh of the world. For flesh cannot be good and flesh cannot do the works of God and flesh will never improve.
Romans 8 ... For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Romans 7 ... For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: (says Paul)
Gal. 5 ... This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
