Condemnation when following Spirit of God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

It is not unusual to meet with condemnation when doing that which is in your heart to do.  The condemnation may come from another human or it may come from a spirit which tries to bring thoughts to your mind telling you that you are doing the wrong thing.

Pam Padgett has a spiritual gift of "helps".  Certainly she is set in the church to help ... I Cor. 12: Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28And God hath set some in the church (to work in the church), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

But she also helps neighbors who are not the church.

Her next door neighbor, Jim, lives alone, as a widower.  He fell and broke a hip.  Pam fed his cat while he was in hospital and she took care of things at his property as needed and she visited him and carried things to him as needed.

One of her neighbors told Pam she should not be doing these things, that Jim's children should be doing these things.  (His estranged daughter lives about 60 miles away from Jim.)

But Pam was reminded of the parable of the good Samaritan to stabilize her in the way of God.  Lk. 10 ... And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. 33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. 36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

Pam told me this story several days ago.  Recently a scripture came to my mind and I was reminded of Pam and the condemnation that tried to come to her through this neighbor.   Gal. 6:10 ... As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. I called Pam after being reminded of this in connection with the story of the woman who objected to her helping Jim.

Recently I felt I had opportunity to share the word of God with a woman who was going through a great deal of trouble.  Thoughts came that this was silly and that I was just following my own desire in wanting to do this.  Then I was reminded of the following:  I Cor. 1:21 ... it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. After hearing this (which I believe to be from the Holy Spirit showing me what to do in this specific issue), I sent the material to this woman.

Our own flesh and the flesh of others will try to stop us from doing what God wants us to do but the Holy Spirit confirms to us the way of God when what we are about to do is the will of God.
