1 John 5:3-4 ... For this is the love of God, that we keep his
commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is
born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that
overcometh the world, even our faith.
Exhortation: Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
The commandments of God are not grievous but are life to us who belong to HIM.
The victory is God for it is God who leads us in what to say, in what to do, in where to go, and in where to stay. We are sealed with HIS Spirit. By HIS Spirit we overcome for we hear from God on the specific issues of this life by HIS Spirit.
Though we once lived as the world lives, ruled by the world, by the will of men, now we serve God and live by what HE says. We no longer serve the flesh as we once did. The flesh is cut away by circumcision made without hands. The Holy Spirit speaks and we are changed.
The world goes in opposite way to God. We hear them speak and it is as if we are in a foreign land for their way is not our way. And indeed, we are simply passing through this land. Our life is not in this land and in the way of man. We are dead with Christ and raised with Christ that we can now serve God instead of serving our own flesh.
And our faith is in what God tells us and we focus on that and overcome by that which God says. And we trust in that word and we keep that word before us day and night and it grows strong in us as we do it.
