2 Samuel 22:20 ... He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
Exhortation: Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
A large place is a place where my feet have better space so I am not as likely to slip and fall off.
When we think of a very narrow ledge on a mountain, we see what our life was like before we were born again. It was very dangerous.
But God moved us out of many dangerous things and put us into a large place which was much more secure.
Now we no longer lust after those things the world desires. God removed us from the pride of man by giving us HIS word such as: I Tim. 6 ... But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
God teaches us that our life is not here on this earth. We are dead, buried with Christ, raised with Christ, hid with Christ.
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Now that we belong to HIM, we no longer serve our flesh as we once did, making ourselves important in the sight of humans.
Now we are servants of God. Now our goal is to please God as we wait for the return of Jesus and the redemption of our souls.
By these things, we see how God has moved us to "a large place".
