πŸ’₯ Taking thoughts captive

Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

As Christians, we must be certain that we are doing the following day by day when cares come upon us or when we are troubled:

Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And when we do this, the promise of God is as follows:

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

When we cry out to God for help, God will help us, then we rejoice in The Word God brings to us and the devil, who has sent fearful and depressing thoughts to our mind, will flee from us.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

If we take in thoughts sent from the devil, he will eat us alive.

I Peter 5:7-8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith,
