πŸ’₯ Our country, as Christians.

A man from India who identified himself as a pastor, asked me the following:  "What is your vision for India."

I responded:  "India, like the USA and all other countries of this world, will be destroyed by God by fire in the end of this world."

Although people try to make themselves appear to others "as good", people of this world are corrupt and for that reason the wrath of God comes upon this world at the end and Peter tells us what will happen to this world in the end.

2 Peter 3:10   But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

In the Bible, those of faith described themselves as being as "strangers and pilgrims" in the land on this present earth.

We are in the land where God placed us to live and we live here at the exact time God chooses.

Acts 17:26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

And sometimes God moves us from place to place on this earth.

When the pasture dries up often God moves us to another temporary home on this earth.

We who are of God are just waiting here in this land until God removes us by the returning of Jesus and takes us to that new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness

This is our permanent country.

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

The people of this present world do not understand these concepts of God and they love these present nations and fight to hold onto that which they can see with their natural eyes, not knowing that all things that we can see with our natural eyes will be destroyed by God.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (This present earth will never be righteous no matter what you do.  People just get more and more evil from decade to decade until the wrath of God comes upon them as in the days of Noah.)

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Colossians 3

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.

Hebrews 11  (living as strangers and pilgrims on this earth)

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.

Jesus says:

John 18:36  My kingdom is not of this world: if MY kingdom were of this world, then would MY servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is MY kingdom not from hence.

At some point we who are of God will be removed from this present world and God will destroy this present heaven and earth and we will be taken to the new heaven and earth wherein dwelleth only righteousness.

So beware of clinging to nations of men.

If God moves you, move.  (You might miss an earthquake!)
