As we grow nearer to the end of this world and the coming of Jesus, the fierceness of devils working in people will grow stronger.
Revelation 12:12 ... Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
(Thus the violence that we are seeing today when men with guns go into businesses and churches and shoot people without cause. When things are irrational, look for devils.)
We, who belong to God, need to be aware of this.
Hebrews 10:25 ... exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
And as we meditate in the scriptures, let us be certain to do the instructions given in the scriptures.
James 1:21-22 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Certainly we trust God to keep us by HIS Spirit. But we also strengthen ourselves in things of God by meditating in the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures.
Here are scriptures from yesterday's blog and podcast.
As I read these, I feel calmer and more settled in things of God. And I find collecting the scriptures from the daily blog and podcast and reading them from time to time helps to work these truths through my own life.

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of HIS promise in Christ by the gospel:
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of HIS power.
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are
written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear
not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee,
and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai,
and his people, and his city, and his land:
2 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.

π₯ Galatians 3:8-11 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
(Saved by faith: by believing that which God has said and not by our works.)
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

1 In
the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the

2-4 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

3-4 Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us
with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as HE hath chosen us in HIM before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before HIM in love:
4-5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of HIS will,
6 To the praise of the glory of HIS grace, wherein HE hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7 In Whom we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of HIS grace;
8-9 Wherein HE hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of HIS will, according to HIS good pleasure which HE hath purposed in HIMSELF:
10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times HE might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in HIM:

11-12 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated
according to the purpose of HIM who worketh all things after the counsel
of HIS own will: That we should be to the praise of HIS glory, who
first trusted in Christ.
13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of HIS glory.

am the true vine, and MY Father is the husbandman. Every branch in ME
that beareth not fruit HE taketh away: and every branch that beareth
fruit, HE purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in ME, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in ME.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in ME, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without ME ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in ME, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If ye abide in ME, and MY words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is MY Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be MY disciples.
