Let this mind be in you

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Phil. 2

- made himself of no reputation
- was a servant to God
- humbled himself by obeying God
- suffered even the despicable (and painful) death of the cross

The apostle Paul said we are to have this same mind which was in Christ Jesus.

It could be that we are near the return of Jesus.  There are a few things we need to focus on between now and then.  First is to make yourself of no reputation.  Stop trying to be something and have humans praise you.  Avoid things that cause you to achieve in the sight of men.  Count it all dung as Paul did. (Phil. 3)  Actively deal with this subject of the flesh wanting to exact itself in appearance before men.  Take all necessary steps to put this desire under and to keep it under.

And be sure you are doing this:

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before (those thing before us today), 14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.  Phil. 3

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Mt. 6;34

Focus on today.  Stop making all those plans for tomorrow.  Concentrate on that which is before you right now, today and do that.  Control your mind when it tries to shoot forth unto tomorrow.  And stop thinking of that which you did in the past.  If you think of past, think of that which God did.

Actively pursue the above instructions immediately and keep doing them.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  Col. 3

Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.  15For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will,  we shall live, and do this, or that. 16But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
James 4

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.  James 6:8
