Jesus made Himself of no reputation

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The apostle Paul instructed as follows:

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7But made himself of no reputation,  Phil. 2

Jesus didn't try to achieve things on this earth.  HIS goal was to do the work of God, to do the will of the Father.  He was not here to please man but God.  And Jesus followed God to death, even the death of the cross which was the most despised death one could endure at that period of time.  Jesus did this because it was the will of God.  He prayed 3 times for this cup to be removed from HIM.  But then he said, "Not my will but Thy will be done."  Jesus recognized that the Father was greater than He.  When we recognize this, we submit to the will of the power of authority.

In the world, we learn the exact opposite.  "Be all you can be."  "Fulfill yourself on this earth."

This is also what our own flesh wants ... to be of high reputation among men ... to rise to top in eyes of humans ...

But Jesus made Himself of no reputation.  And Paul tells us to have that mind.

When we deliberately do this (and it is a choice, an act of our will) everything changes.

If we do this and keep on doing it, setting aside anything that makes us look good to other humans, we change from the inside.  In time, we will find that which we once desired is now repulsive.

Make yourself of "no reputation".  Stop trying to rise to the top.  Stop trying to achieve on this earth.  Purpose to please God and do as HE wills.  Everything will change.
