Titus
1 ...Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according
to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is
after godliness; 2In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began; 3But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
While God can and does reach each of
the elect directly ... putting HIS laws into hearts and minds ... And we
do not need for any to teach us ... I Jn. 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Yet through the foolishness of preaching God chooses to "manifest" HIS word ... make HIS word clear to the elect...
I believe as we, who are called of God, "preach" that
which we have, God honors it by opening the eyes and ears of the elect
so they may see clearly what we say.
But to the non-elect, they will not understand.
Nevertheless for the elect's sake
and knowing this plan of God we give ourselves to the office to which we
are called and "dance" before the Lord with all our might as did David, speaking fully that which is entrusted to us so all the elect can benefit as God wills.
