I Thess. 1 ... how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; 10And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
When we believed, we were changed. We no longer served the previous idols. And as we were continually renewed through the years, idols dropped away one by one. Our role is not to serve ourselves. Our role is to be free to serve God.
And as we remain on this present earth we simply wait ....We are not trying to fulfill ourselves as the world does. For we are complete in Jesus. (Col. 1)
And we believe God raised Jesus from the dead and through HIM we who wait will be raised from the dead.
And HE delivers us from the wrath to come.
