As Jesus knew He would soon be betrayed, He spoke with his disciples and
reminded them of an instruction He had given them previously. As they
obeyed that instruction, they had no lack ...
Luke 22:35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse,
and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
But Jesus knew what lie ahead and gave instruction to them based on what they would need for what was about to happen ...
Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse,
let him take
it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his
garment, and buy one. 37 For I say unto you, that this that is written
must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the
transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. 38 And they
said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is
enough.
Even as Jesus was facing betrayal and death, HE gave instructions to His disciples, preparing them for what they were about to face. Each time
the disciples obeyed the instructions Jesus gave, they had what they
needed. There was enough,
with no lack.
God knows what lies ahead for our lives and prepares us as needed, taught and led by the Holy Spirit.

not want (need, lack).
