John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light
of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but
shall have the light of life.
Jesus is the Word of God come in the flesh (John 1:14). Each word given by the Holy Spirit to us ... scripture, dreams, a word brought
directly to our minds by the Holy Spirit as a thought, a message
delivered to us by another person as led by the Holy Spirit ... gives
light to us, renews our minds to the will of God, shows us each step to take, illuminates the way of life for us.
The world is in darkness,
but we are given light by the word of God. And we live by following each word given to us.
Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
