Antichrist is a spirit that works in man

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Antichrist is not one man but rather a spirit that works in man that is opposite to Christ, thus "anti" Christ, opposing Christ, opposing the Word.

The falling away, spoken of in II Thess. 2, are not people leaving the church but rather are churches leaving the scriptures so they can do their own pleasure, thus antichrist, opposite to Christ, in the church itself.

II Thess. 2 ... Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.  7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

We see antichrist was to come in the churches ... antichrist sits "in the temple of God", showing himself that he is God.

The temple of God for the New Testament Church are the individuals as Paul explains:  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? I Cor. 6:19

In II Tim. 3, Paul speaks of the perilous times that will come in the last days.  These perilous times were going to come inside the church groups.  We see this as Paul speaks and says they will have "a form of godliness".

II Tim. 3 ... This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

... But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

These evil men and seducers would be in the church groups and it would get worse and worse as time went on.

That spirit of antichrist was already working inside the church groups and waiting to take over at the time Paul lives on this earth ... And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. 18And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, 19Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: 20And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, 21Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. 22And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.  24But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. 25And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. 26Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.  Acts 20

As long as Paul was among the churches, he, doing the work of apostle, would fight them down and keep those with antichrist spirit from reigning in the churches.  But Paul knew the time would come after he departed that they would take over, "speaking perverse things" in the church groups.  And it would get worse and worse in the church groups.

And when they got charge in the church groups, they would cast aside scripture and set up a perverse doctrine.

Here is an example of one scripture cast aside by church groups today.

Jesus said:

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.  Mt. 5:32

This is something I've never heard taught in any church group that I have attended in the United States:

I've never heard any preacher teach that the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

This is just one proof of antichrist reigning inside the church groups today.

When you remove the restraint of the apostles and prophets, you remove much of the authority of God which keeps antichrist from reigning inside the churches for apostles and prophets will not permit scripture to be eliminated.

Antichrist is "man of lawlessness".  (But again it is not one man but a lawlessness spirit in man which is opposite to scripture.)

And what can be done about it?  Nothing, because we see in scripture it would happen.  All we can do is depart from groups where scripture is cast aside.

I have spoken to many pastors, bringing godly correction according to the scriptures, and in 35+ years I have never seen one of these pastors repent.  I just had to depart from them.

Remember II Thess. 2 ... And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
