Psalm 12 ... Prayers to God & Promises of God to the Church

1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth;
for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour:
with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The Lord shall cut off all flattering lips,
and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail;
our lips are our own:who is lord over us?

5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy,
now will I arise, saith the Lord;
I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

6 The words of the Lord are pure words:
as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord,
thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 The wicked walk on every side,
when the vilest men are exalted.

God watches over HIS children continually ... day and night ...

God has given the Holy Spirit to each of HIS children to dwell in them and teach and guide and protect and warn them and show them HIS way.

By HIS WORD carried to us by HIS SPIRIT we are kept from "this generation" as we do that shown us by HIS Spirit.

God sets us in a place of safety.

Man tries to get us to go into other places ... our flesh tries to move us ... but we are firmly fixed on the assignment given us by the Spirit of God so we stay steady in the place God has placed us.

The words we have heard from God by HIS Spirit are "pure words".

I Jn. 5 ... 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

We are very temporarily in this world but like those of God before us we know we are strangers and pilgrims here and we know there will be a new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

So far as this present world goes, it will never be righteous but it will be as Paul said ... 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.  II Tim. 3

I Cor. 15 ... 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Though this world is very wicked, we live in peace through HIM, through that word given us by God through HIS Spirit.  We overcome the situations by the Word HE gives us.

We will not be able to make this world good ... nor will we be able to make this world a better place as some fleshly religious people think to do.

Our goal is to move through this life "in peace", clinging to that Word which is given us by God and holding fast to that Word as we look for the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.

II Peter 3 ... 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The only way we can live in peace is to commit all things to HIM in prayer when things happen on this earth and to rest in the Word given us by God by HIS Spirit.  In that Word we have peace and joy in the midst of the problems.
