Confirmed by God

I Cor. 1 ... That in every thing ye are enriched by Him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; 6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

We, who have the Spirit of God in us, do not fall short.  In everything we are enriched by HIM, in our spoken words and in knowledge.  None of us fall short when we have the Spirit of God.  The Spirit of God that operated in the apostle Paul is the same Spirit of God who operates in you and in me, doing the will of God in each of us.

We can therefore rest in HIM and trust in HIM.

We recall how different we were after we were born again.  We were suddenly "a new creation".  Certainly the old self died.  Those people and things we once pursued were no longer viewed by us in the same way.

I was so changed inside when I was born again that when I spoke I often didn't recognize I was the one speaking for what I was now saying was so different.

Paul was dramatically changed after Jesus revealed HIMSELF to Paul.

Acts 9 ... 1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. 

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus:and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 

6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? 

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. 

7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. 8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man:but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
 

10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus:for, behold, he prayeth, 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. 

13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 

15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way:for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

After this Paul went into the temple and preached Jesus as the promised Messiah and those who once loved Paul tried to kill him and Paul was persecuted by the Jews and fled from city to city always telling of Jesus in the temples and among the people.

And God confirms that which we do and that which we say and confirms us into the end that we may appear blameless in the day of the Lord.

We follow HIM by the Spirit that is in us and therefore we go in opposite ways to the people of this world for now we are that new creation, created in God through Jesus Christ, with our flesh crucified with Christ so we no longer have to obey the will of our flesh but now obey the Spirit of God unto salvation from various sins of this present world.

I Cor. 6 ... 9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 

11 And such were some of you:but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

God confirms us: (make us firm)

- establishes the truth or correctness of something believed
- reinforces us in that which we believe
