πŸ’₯ Sharing with the church daily

(Listed in alphabetical order:)

The people of this world often think climate is caused by pollution caused by men of this world.

The Bible tells us that climate is caused by God.

Genesis 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Psalm 148:8  Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling HIS (God's) word:

At the end of this world, God will destroy this heaven and earth by fire.

2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord (the coming of Jesus to gather the elect) will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Here is the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness:

Revelation 21:1-5

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

James 4:13  Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

ISAIAH 53:6  ALL WE LIKE SHEEP HAVE GONE ASTRAY; WE HAVE TURNED EVERY ONE TO HIS OWN WAY; AND THE LORD HATH LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL.

ROMANS 3:23  FOR ALL HAVE SINNED, AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD;

JOHN 3:16  FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

When we were younger, my husband (David) and I went on many outdoor adventures. We loved to white water raft and did so a couple of times per year for about 10 years. We preferred not to use a guide or equipment. A life jacket was required and later a helmet.

We took many first timers with us. First timers learned to leader calls ...right... left...fast.... slow. We practiced maneuvering and pointed out dangers in the river. One such danger is a large flat rock that sits in the middle of the river and is perpendicular to the banks. There have been rafters stuck there underwater as the force of the river holds them against the rock. They are then unable to move. The river had 1-2 fatalities each summer at that time. We have never hit that rock.

The river is partially fed by a large dam. On this particular day, the dam water was let go making the river water level very high and very cold. David and I had experienced these conditions before. The first timers were given instructions and practice time. We talked about the flat tall rock in the middle of the river to avoid at all costs. David led and began calling commands.

Immediately, I could feel a severe weakness in the female rower. I had never seen anything like it. She had no visible signs of deformity or injury but there was no strength at all resulting from her oar entering the water. It was almost like she was not there. We moved her to a different location in the 4 man raft with no result.

We could now see the rock, David was yelling and we all joined in to, "Row". We hit the rock straight on center. The raft flew straight up into the air and then turned over on itself throwing us all in the water. I popped up and was first stunned by the cold. I recovered and swam to shore. Immediately I did a head count. The couple of first timers were heads up and screaming, so they were OK in my view. My husband was not there. I called him while I found a long stick to give to the female. I thought maybe he was clinging to the rock or on the opposite side of the river. No he was not.

I then knew he was under the water against the rock with the full force of the river. I knew that I could not perform this kind of water rescue and there were no visible guides. I prayed a red hot prayer for God to save my husband. He popped up in front of the rock and began swimming to us. I was so happy praising God!

When my husband got to me, I told him how God saved him.  He was irritated with me and said, "Why didn't you leave me down there?" He said the he was in total peace surrounded by white and loved it. He was not afraid, or having difficulty breathing, or feeling the river pressing on him. He said that he wanted to stay there forever.

I realized a miracle had happened for both of us. We never went down the river again. In later years, I realized that the female could not row so that the miracle could happen. Our faith was made strong that day.

To this day I cry when I think on it.

John 14:14  If ye shall ask any thing in MY name, I will do it.

Psalm 9:10  And they that know THY name (the Word) will put their trust in THEE: for THOU, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek THEE.

I have certainly seen what we're told in this scripture throughout my life.  Each time that I have turned to God seeking HIS help in whatever I am facing, HE has helped me, fulfilling the word HE has given me in the matter, never forsaking me.

I recently came across this dream and exhortation in a folder I have on my iPad. I’m pretty sure I sent it out not long after I had it which was several years ago. When I reread it recently, it was such a joyful dream.  I thought I would send it

I dreamed I was in a big city like New York which I was completely unfamiliar with. I needed to get to a particular destination but knew I didn’t know how to get there.

There was a man with me and he hailed a taxi and we got in and the taxi took us where I needed to be. Then I needed to get to another destination and this man did as he had done before. He hailed another taxi and the taxi took us to where I needed to be.

Comments and impressions

When I was in the taxi with this man, I was aware of how comfortable I was, just sitting there beside him, knowing that I would be taken to the place I needed to be. And I was so happy to have this man with me, helping me. I knew I would have been lost without him being there.

I also realized that I had the feeling of being “carried” to the places I needed to be.

And this reminded me of the following scripture … Isaiah 46:3  Hearken unto ME, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by Me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: 4 And even to your old age I am He; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

What wonderful promises there are for us in this one passage of scripture!

A couple of the definitions of “carry” I found are to direct the course of and to gain victory for.

I thought of how God does this for us, as we turn to Him, over and over, asking Him for wisdom in the things we face in our lives. And how He is always with us, as this man was with me in my dream, and always knows where we need to be and how to best get us there.

Matthew 4:4   But He answered and said, it is written , Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 19:30  But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

Matthew 20:16  So the last shall be first and the first shall be last; for many be called , but few chosen.

Whenever I have a decision to make I try to remember what Jesus said when the devil was tempting Him and trying Him in Matthew 4:7. So I talk with God about anything I have a concern about before I act on it. I always have a clearer vision of what to do after I seek God’s counsel on issues. I definitely don’t want to be last with God!

One time there was a 5-week layoff for Ford workers at the plant where my husband worked. Then, right after that they could sign up for an additional layoff which would last from up to 5 or 6 months. I hadn’t known my husband was interested in this and I was very surprised that he had signed up for it and got it.

I didn’t know how I would deal with having him around all that time. I like quiet in the morning and usually several times throughout the day, and he likes to watch TV and listen to music more often than me.

I turned strongly to God for help. I was given the thought that those first 5 weeks had gone well and quickly, and God who helped me with that could also help me with the rest. And God did help me. There wasn’t any major problem. One thing that happened was that even before this layoff, I had gotten on a sleep pattern where I was going to bed at 7 pm and waking up at 3 am. It had just happened naturally. So there was quiet when I woke up and of course my husband didn’t wake up til much later. And most days he was gone off away from home, running errands or something. I had plenty of quiet.

But I did pray that he would be able to go back to work soon. He told me he had a dream that the workers were called back to work. This gave me hope. And the very next week it happened! This layoff had only been for 3 months.

CHURCH GATHERING
IN COLORADO SPRINGS:
July 22-26, 2024

We would love to have you join us!

We are going to try to conduct these meetings as Paul said to do when we gather as the church:

I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm (prayer), hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

We will depend on God to draw ( out of each of us edifying things to help the church see God.  We will depend on God to give each individual what he or she needs.  We believe God will increase our faith in HIM by the words brought forth by individuals who attend.  No messages will be pre-planned.  We will trust God to bring forth what HE wants us to hear through one another as the Holy Spirit, Who is in us, reminds individuals of scripture or stories of that which God has done in their lives and they share those things with the group.  This is what the gathering of the church was supposed to be!

I Corinthians 14:31   For ye may all prophesy (share) one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

This should be very exciting!  (And it should end up being led by God and therefore what God wants us to hear!)

And in the Bible, Jesus says to us:

Matthew 18:20  For where two or three are gathered together in MY name, there am I in the midst of them.

(Physical and emotional healings should take place with Jesus there in the midst of us!  We should also be greatly strengthened for the end-time events that are to come upon this present earth.)

Some might be born again and changed for ever.

And each of us should be strengthened in God.

And it will be fun to just be together..and it is very beautiful here...and cool! (1 moved here from Texas. I've been here 5 years so I really appreciate the climate and especially the Rocky Mountains!)

We will pick you up in Denver if you fly.
Milage: 71 miles, (approximately 50 miles to north side where we live)

Or you can fly to Colorado Springs.

By next week we hope to name convention hotel and announce some reduced rates for our group.

(We will take an early head count in mid February...watch for it in blog!)
