Psalm 105:1-3 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon HIS name: make known HIS deeds among the people. Sing unto HIM, sing psalms unto HIM: talk ye of all HIS wondrous works. Glory ye in HIS holy name (The Word): let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.

Before we moved to South Carolina we used to travel up and down through many states to visit our daughter any chance we got.
One day before we were to go on another trip I was talking to the Lord about our safety being on the road so much.
I heard this scripture:
Deut. 28:6 BLESSED SHALT THOU BE WHEN THOU COMEST IN, AND BLESSED SHALT THOU BE WHEN THOU GOEST OUT.
We were always kept safe on all our visit's.

(JB ... It is not lack of faith to go to a medical doctor. When you hear from God to "Keep Going" do what God says. Pam Padgett heard a similar thing when cancer doctors wanted to do tests to see if any cancer had returned after she was healed from cancer by God through treatments of chemotherapy and radiation in 2023.)
Beth says:
I had a dream many years ago. In the dream, I was in a war zone with my husband, GOD. (This was a word from the Holy Spirit). HE , GOD, moved and I followed. The bombs were so close, I felt the heat sting and dirt splashing on my face. HE took me through it.
This dream long ago has been called to my attention repeatedly. I realized that this was my infection "bombs" that I had this past year. I knew that I followed my husband (God) and HE kept me safe.
I am also reminded of Psalm 91.
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, HE is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in HIM will I trust.
3 Surely HE shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 HE shall cover thee with HIS feathers, and under HIS wings shalt thou trust: HIS truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
This is such a wonderful promise from God. When we ask HIM for wisdom, HE will give it to us.
This morning James 1:5 was called to my attention, and one of the things I asked was wisdom in finding an electrician to replace a ceiling light fixture.
In my house is a very small laundry area with no windows. The only light, a ceiling light fixture, stopped working a few days ago. The last time this happened several years ago, I found that there were no replaceable light bulbs in the fixture and the entire fixture had to be replaced.
So when the light stopped working a few days ago I assumed I needed to get a new fixture (which I did) and hire an electrician to replace it. I left messages for 2 electricians, but neither called me back.
This morning after asking for wisdom in finding an electrician, an electrician recommended to me a few years ago came to mind, so I called his number. A recorded message said that he might be able to answer text messages sooner than phone calls.
As I began typing out a text message saying that I needed a ceiling light fixture replaced, a thought from the Holy Spirit came to my mind: "Do I really need to replace that fixture?"
For the first time I realized that I had not checked to see if the current fixture had replaceable light bulbs.
With a step-stool I was easily able to remove the light fixture cover and found that it did have replaceable light bulbs! I put new light bulbs in the fixture, and it worked just fine. No electrician needed.
It makes me smile when I think of how I was going the entirely wrong way. But the wisdom given to me from God got me onto the right and easy path to resolve the problem.

Isaiah 45:2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
I was reminded of this verse earlier today and later remembered how it was the answer to a prayer.
My husband and I used to have such good mail delivery. Then our mailman was reassigned to an adjacent county and our mail delivery became spotty and there was a problem with our packages being delivered to the wrong address.
This went on for a while and was frustrating and I found myself worrying about where our mail would end up on any given day.
I called our little local post office and was told that they weren’t delivering our mail anymore. It was now being delivered by one of the bigger post offices in Charlottesville, Virginia.
And I found that I had to drive to this post office every time I needed to talk to them because they never answered their phone.
I felt like I was dealing with a very large organization and really couldn’t do much except tell them what was happening. But I realized also they were having to deal with the restructuring that had taken place.
I had prayed, of course, about this, asking God for help.
Then one day when I was home, I heard the above scripture and knew it had to do with our mail problem!
I knew God was telling me that He would do things that I couldn’t do. He would take care of the problem.
And I remember how much HOPE this gave me knowing that God was going to help me. And not too long after that, the problem was resolved.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
These scriptures always keep me on the correct path that I need to go daily in order to keep myself with God. It is simple and to the point and very powerful to my way of thinking.

One time a storm was brewing where I live. I saw that a plastic lawn chair was out in the yard but I didn’t want to go out to get it and put it in a safer place since it was either raining and/ or thundering and lightning. There was also strong wind. I don’t remember my exact prayer but it was either to not let the chair blow into the field or to keep it in the yard.
After the storm died down, I noticed that other, much heavier things, such as a large trash can and a heavy plastic truck bed liner had blown out into the field. But amazingly that lawn chair was still in the yard, just maybe had been blown over and carried a few feet.

CHURCH GATHERING
IN COLORADO SPRINGS:
July 22-26, 2024
We would love to have you join us!
We are going to try to conduct these meetings as Paul said to do when we gather as the church:
I Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm (prayer), hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
We will depend on God to draw ( out of each of us edifying things to help the church see God. We will depend on God to give each individual what he or she needs. We believe God will increase our faith in HIM by the words brought forth by individuals who attend. No messages will be pre-planned. We will trust God to bring forth what HE wants us to hear through one another as the Holy Spirit, Who is in us, reminds individuals of scripture or stories of that which God has done in their lives and they share those things with the group. This is what the gathering of the church was supposed to be!
I Corinthians 14:31 For ye may all prophesy (share) one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
This should be very exciting! (And it should end up being led by God and therefore what God wants us to hear!)
And in the Bible, Jesus says to us:
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in MY name, there am I in the midst of them.
