Podcast: Another miracle: Today I spoke with a man who wasn't greedy. It was thrilling to me.

I needed help with my sound system and I called a man who is a dealer for Tara Labs.   Immediately he jumped in and began trying to help, and he did help without gobbling me up for personal riches.

I don't believe the man is a Christian or that he knows God ... yet!  But I believe he will.

He reminded me of another man who tried to help ... and wasn't filled with greed.

(They often see us as their next meal ... or see us as of no value to themselves and therefore rush on past us.  This man just helped me because he was equipped and able to do such.  When I tried to give him $100 for his time, he refused to take it!  When I bought some cables from him, he took 40% off the retail price, though I didn't ask him to do this or expect a discount of any kind.)

The apostle Paul left us the following Word:

2 Timothy 3:1-2  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves,

They so often rush about thinking us to be unimportant ... failing to realize we are one of God's jewels and are full of great treasure!  and when they could help, they rush about from money to money.

Acts 3

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;

3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Peter and John had something to give that was more precious than silver and gold!

And that which they had to give, they gave with all their heart!

When we are equipped to give and fail to give that which we have we are like a well without water.

When we lay down our own lives, holding back nothing, we really give something.  Having a good heart overflowing with gratitude for that which we have been given by God.

Luke 7

36 And one of the Pharisees desired HIM that HE would eat with him. And HE went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.

37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,

38 And stood at HIS feet behind him weeping, and began to wash HIS feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed HIS feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

40  And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

(Give that you are able to give ... and especially because you are so grateful to God!)
