Podcast: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 Jn. v. 2

Though I've never seen many of you, I feel about the children of God as I do about those in the church I know by face.

I know how to help you to deal with negative thoughts, for God taught me how to do this.

Today I was speaking by phone with a woman and she told me she had some fear that her husband might have, in future, even worse stroke than he has this past year.

A scripture came to my mind.

I Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

I believe this scripture promises us we need not fear that which will happen to us.  God will not allow us to suffer more than we are able to handle.

I have a young friend who contracted the disease ALS.  I witnessed the time David became totally paralyzed inch by inch. I even had thoughts that I didn't believe I would be able to endure that if it happened to me.  It won't happen to me because I couldn't endure it.  God will not allow me to go through something I am unable to stand, for that is what it promises in the Bible.  (I Cor. 10:13)

Deuteronomy 4:7  For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

Psalm 57:2  I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

In everything we are helped by God!  And because of God and the Word which God gives us, we overcome and endure.

Matthew 14

22 And straightway Jesus constrained HIS disciples to get into a ship, and to go before HIM unto the other side, while HE sent the multitudes away.

23 And when HE had sent the multitudes away, HE went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, HE was there alone.

24  But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw HIM walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered HIM and said, Lord, if it be THOU, bid me come unto THEE on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

(We cannot look at the circumstances, but we keep our eyes on the Word which is given us by God.)

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth HIS hand, and caught HIM, and said unto HIM, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
