Podcast: It takes faith in God to share things you believe God has shown you or said to you

Recently I encouraged people to share things God has said to them.

Hebrews 3:13  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

We exhort the church by sharing those things GOD has spoken to us. Or by telling the way God helped us.

Hebrews 10

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for HE is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day (of the Lord) approaching.

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

 I Corinthians 2:

(Paul said)

1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and HIM crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

πŸ’₯ 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

πŸ’₯ Paul spoke that which God had shown to him by the Holy Spirit.

πŸ’₯  The Holy Spirit teaches us all things, guides us into all truth, reminds us of everything Jesus has said, and shows us things to come.  (John 14:26 & John 16:13)  That's what we share with the body of Christ, what the Holy Spirit showed to us and said to us about the issues pertaining to our life.

If we share with the body of Christ, we must share that which God has told us about the situation.

There were times Paul shared something that was a commandment of the Lord and when that was the case Paul made it very clear.

2 Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

The development of faith in God:  Focus on what God has said.  Share what God has said.  Do that which is in keeping with what God has said.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law (the Bible or the Word God speaks to you) shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Philemon v. 6  That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
