Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Our own flesh sometimes wants to explain away that wrong which they do to approve them in what they do, but the Spirit of Truth speaks truth to us, bringing various facets to our mind to set us straight so we would not live in lies of the flesh but in truth concerning them.
There is a Catholic woman who asks me to do things from time to time. (She is not born again. She is very religious in fleshly ways.) She was planning to come watch a football game at my house. She didn't show up. Then I noticed she had left a message on my answer phone. But the message was somehow deleted. About 8:30 that night I decided I'd better check on her. I called her. Her phone rang 3 times and then it was picked up and then the phone was apparently put back and the call disconnected. Later, when I asked her about this, she told me she picked up the receiver and all she heard was noise so she hung up. That sounds a reasonable excuse and I was accepting it until the Holy Spirit said the following to me: "She could have called you back."
The Spirit of Truth was not going to allow this woman to get by with a lie and the Spirit of Truth was not going to permit me to go along with her lie.
Our flesh wants to excuse them in their acts but the Spirit of Truth wants us to walk in truth. I often have it happen that God sets me straight when my flesh is trying to go along with their lies.
I Jn. 1 ... God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
