Proverbs 17:24 Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
Reading this reminded me of how wisdom from God leads us to deal with
those things that are before us, soberly tending to our own business,
being content with what God provides for us, and going in the way He has
set before us.
1 Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do
your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye
may have lack of nothing.
1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind,
be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto
you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 As obedient children, not
fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner
of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without
covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath
said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
But a fool is never content and satisfied, looking even to the ends of the earth, always desiring something more or new ....
Proverbs 27:20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
