Hebrews 12:1-3 ... Wherefore seeing we
also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay
aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let
us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto
Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set
before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at
the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
2 Corinthians 2:14-16 ... Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth
us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge
by us in every place. 15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ,
in them that are saved, and in them that perish:16 To the one we are the
savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto
life. And who is sufficient for these things?
