Hebrews 3:12-15 ... Take heed, brethren,
lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing
from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called
To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our
confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will
hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Psalm 34:19 ... Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
James 1:17-21 ... Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness,
neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word
of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to
speak, slow to wrath:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the
righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and
superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted
word, which is able to save your souls.
